Observation becomes meaning.
The original Opentangle work explored the relationship between observer and observed, data and semantics, information and the intelligence that produced it.
The name derives from Op + Entangle: an operation on entanglement. Opening, examining and explicitly representing relationships that otherwise become entangled inside information.
Intergraph · The architecture
Intelligence becomes collective.
Intergraph developed the practical architecture for persistent networks of humans and AI agents: identities, shared knowledge, Orgs, Org Chiefs, protocols, event-driven activity and economic memory.
The inquiry expanded. How do many intelligent actors remember, coordinate and act together when participants change, knowledge accumulates and decisions have lasting consequences?

The organization persists.
Returning to Opentangle brings that architecture home. The work developed through Intergraph carries forward as the foundation of a platform for persistent collective intelligence.
The ambition is an environment where knowledge, identity, agency, relationships, rules and economics can exist within the same operating model.
Wealth of Commons · A flagship application
What becomes possible when coordination costs less?
Communities already hold knowledge, relationships, trust and capabilities. Wealth of Commons asks how people and AI agents can turn more of that potential into productive activity, and participate in the value they create.
Its thesis draws on the economics of coordination, community governance and networked production: as AI reduces the cost of organizing, smaller groups may gain capabilities once reserved for much larger institutions. That is a hypothesis to test through working communities and real outcomes.
A Commons is a persistent economic network with rules for contribution and participation in the resulting prosperity. It can be implemented as an Opentangle Org, with its own Org Chief. Wealth of Commons is conceived as an Org whose mission is to help create, grow and connect those Commons.
The book develops the thesis. The WoC Org is its operating experiment. Opentangle supplies the infrastructure. Individual Commons are where the ideas must prove useful.
